Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy applies to the HLN NATCA bidding application (the “application”), available as a website and a companion mobile app. The application is an internal tool used by air traffic controllers at the facility to view schedule lines, submit schedule and leave bids, and access facility information. The web and mobile versions share the same accounts and data.

Information we collect

We collect only the information needed to operate facility bidding:

• Account information — your name, initials, email address, and the password you use to sign in.
• Facility and bidding information — your seniority position, controller group, schedule-line selections, leave bids, and related bidding activity.
• Content you submit — any information you enter while using the application, such as bid choices.

The application does not collect location data, contacts, photos, advertising identifiers, or device sensor data, and it does not use third-party advertising or analytics tracking.

How we use information

• To authenticate you and keep your account secure.
• To operate the schedule-line and leave bidding process, including seniority ordering and bid results.
• To display facility announcements, documents, and resources.
• To administer the application and respond to support requests.

How information is shared

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it with third parties for advertising. Bidding-related information (such as your bids and seniority position) is visible to facility administrators and, where relevant to the bidding process, to other members of the facility, consistent with how bidding is normally conducted at the facility. Information may be disclosed if required by law.

Data storage and security

Information is stored on secure, access-controlled servers. Passwords are stored in hashed form and are never stored in plain text. Access to administrative functions is restricted to authorized facility administrators.

Data retention

We retain account and bidding information for as long as your account is active and for as long as needed to operate the facility bidding process. You may request deletion of your account and associated personal data at any time — see our Account Deletion page.

Your choices

You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information by contacting us. To request deletion, follow the steps on the Account Deletion page.

Children’s privacy

The application is intended for facility personnel and is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from children.

Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by the “Last updated” date at the top of this page.
