Step-by-step guide

How to Bid

A simple, plain-language walkthrough. No computer experience needed — just follow the numbered steps for your schedule line, OT blockout week, and leave.

There are two things you bid, and each has its own page once you sign in:

1. Schedule Lines

Pick the shift/days-off line you want — and your OT blockout week.

2. Leave Bidding

Pick the days you want off (vacation/leave).

You can only bid when it is your turn. The system goes in seniority order and will tell you clearly when you are up. If it is not your turn yet, there is nothing you need to do — just wait.

Getting Signed InStart here every time

1

Open the sign-in page

Press Bidding Login at the top of the page. You will see a box asking for your Initials and a Password.

2

Type your initials

Enter your controller initials (for example, TS). Upper or lower case is fine.

3

Type your password

The first time, your password is simply your last name in all lowercase letters (for example, if your name is Pat Smith, type smith). You may be asked to choose a new password after your first sign-in — pick something you'll remember.

4

Press the “Sign In” button

That's it — you're in. You'll land on your Dashboard, your home base.

Forgot your password or it won't let you in? Contact your bid coordinator — they can reset it for you in a few seconds.

Finding Your Way AroundThe menu on the left

After you sign in, everything is in the dark blue menu on the left side of the screen. On a phone, tap the☰lines in the top corner to open that menu. Here is what each button does:

Schedule Lines

Where you pick the shift line you want to work (and your OT blockout week).

OT Blockouts

A look at everyone’s blockout weeks. Most controllers set theirs while bidding their line.

Leave Bidding

Where you pick the days you want off.

Leave Calendar

A look-only view of who has which days off. You cannot bid here.

Part 1 — Bidding Your Schedule LineYour shifts, days off, and OT blockout week

1

Click “Schedule Lines” in the menu

A banner at the top tells you whether bidding is Open and whose turn it is right now.

2

Wait for your name

When the banner says “It's your turn!”, you can pick. Until then, you can look at the lines but the Select buttons won't appear yet. That's normal.

3

Choose your shift lengths

When it's your turn, a small drop-down appears near the top. Use it to choose your shift-length pattern for the week. Not sure? The default is already a good choice — you can leave it as-is.

4

Find the line you want and press “Select”

The table lists each line with its shift length and days off (RDOs). Lines already taken are grayed out and show who took them. Press the blue Select button next to the line you want.

5

Pick your OT blockout week (if asked)

Your blockout week is tied to your days off (RDOs).

  • If your days off are unique to your line, your blockout week is set for you automatically — nothing to do.
  • If your days off are shared with other lines, a small box pops up with the week(s) still available. Press the week you want. Even if only one week is left, you still tap it to lock it in.
6

Done — you'll see your line confirmed

A blue box at the top now shows “Your Schedule Line” along with your blockout week. That means your pick is saved. There is nothing else to press — the next person in line is now up.

You get one schedule line, and once you pick it that's your choice for the round — so take a moment to be sure before you press Select.

Part 2 — Bidding Your Leave (Days Off)Choosing your vacation days

1

Click “Leave Bidding” in the menu

The top banner tells you if a leave round is open and how many days (or weeks) you are allowed to bid right now.

2

Look at the calendar

You'll see a monthly calendar. Green days are available to request. Use the Prev and Next buttons above the calendar to move between months. (The full color guide is at the bottom of this page.)

3

Tap the days you want off

Click a green day to pick it — it turns blue. Click it again to unpick it. Pick as many days as you are allowed; the banner keeps count for you.

4

Check your selection

A blue box appears listing the days you picked. If you added one by mistake, press the small✕next to that day to remove it.

5

Press “Submit Bids”

When you're happy with your picks, press Submit Bids. A green “success” message confirms it worked.

6

That's it

Your days are now saved and will show as yours on the calendar. You can come back when it's your turn in a later round to bid more.

Common QuestionsQuick answers

It won’t let me click any days. Did I do something wrong?

No. Most likely it is simply not your turn yet, or that round is closed. When it becomes your turn the days will become clickable. If you think it should be your turn, contact your bid coordinator.

Do I have to pick my OT blockout week separately?

Usually no. You pick it right when you bid your schedule line. If your days off are unique it is chosen for you; if they are shared with other lines you tap the week you want from the pop-up.

I made a mistake — can I change it?

For leave days, remove a day with the small ✕ before you press Submit. If you already submitted, or need to change a schedule line or blockout week, contact your bid coordinator for help.

How do I know my bid was saved?

You will see a green pop-up message, and your picks will show up in blue on the calendar or in a blue confirmation box. If you saw that, you are all set.

Do I have to bid everything in one sitting?

No. Leave is done in rounds. You bid your turn, then it moves on. You can come back later when the next round opens to you.
